Log in to CalCentral (using your CalNet ID and passphrase) and navigate to the My Academics tab. There, select the Enrollment Center option on the Class Enrollment Card.
You will be brought to the Enrollment Center. Use the side panel to make your enrollment decisions.
To drop a course, select the Drop Classes option. And select the course you wish to drop and follow the prompts. (If you are dropping a course because you want to enroll in another, please enroll in the new course first and then drop the course you are no longer interested in)
If you need to drop all of your classes to cancel or withdraw from Summer Sessions, you will need to submit a Withdrawal Request form which can be found under the “My Dashboard” tab on CalCentral.
Dropping Waitlisted Classes
Students are responsible for monitoring their waitlist status via CalCentral. If you no longer want to wait for a space to open in a waitlisted class, you must drop the waitlisted class. Students continue to be automatically enrolled from the waitlist through the second week of the session and will be charged for the tuition once enrolled. Notification about the change in waitlist position or being enrolled in the class from the waitlist is only sent to the berkeley.edu account. It is strongly encouraged that email forwarding be set up from the berkeley.edu account to an email account you check daily so that you do not miss the waitlist notification.
It is the student’s responsibility to drop course(s) before the refund deadline in order to avoid being charged for a class they do not wish to take. You can find all summer sessions' deadlines listed at summer.berkeley.edu/registration/schedule.
